DuraTherm is:
A decorative asphalt surfacing system designed specifically for high-traffic areas.
Uniquely formulated thermoplastic material.
Inlaid into impreinted asphalt.
Considerably longer lasting than surface-laid thermoplastics.
How is it Installed?
Heat asphalt using gentle reciprocating heat.
Imprint and remove pattern templates.
Insert high-performance thermoplastic melt and permanently fuse thermoplastic to asphalt surface.
How Quickly is it Installed?
A crosswalk can be installed and open to traffic the same day.
When required by traffic conditions DuraTherm can be installed on lane at a time.
Generally open to traffice within 90 minutes after melting/fusing the material in place.
Are There Any Special Requirements?
Clean, sound, properly compacted asphalt surface 0 - 3 years old.
Almost any asphalt mix design in use on City streets is acceptable.
